Landowners undermined by companies
ABC TV - 7.30 NSW - 4.11.2011
Rural landowners across the state, who locked their gates to mining, are now being undermined by a new strategy by the companies. Sales have slipped through un-noticed, as the mining companies used a third party to make the purchase, so the owner was unaware he was selling to a mining company.
“I don’t believe these gas mining companies show any sense of corporate morality whatsoever,” Peter Martin said.
This ABC 7:30 “NSW Edition” programme shows how the Coal and Coal Seam Gas industry keep lowering their morals to achieve their ends. When whole communities lock the gate, they will realise they have expended not only their financial capital but also their moral capital.
