Alan Jones speaks to Gundi Royle about coal seam gas.
Radio 2GB - Alan Jones - 4.11.2011
Alan Jones talks to Gundi Royle about why she has spoken out to protect our water from coal seam gas. She is attacking CSG industry and regulators for failing to conduct independent regional modelling of the groundwater impacts of up to $80 billion in planned coal seam gas (CSG) development. She says the industry is just rolling over the country, and Australians should know they will be “carrying the can.” Ms Royle is an articulate, knowledgeable professional – who is genuinely worried that “State governments are so enamoured with projected revenue that they cannot regulate efficiently.” She says: “They have failed from the outset. They are trying to run behind the ambulance but they will not be able to catch it”.
